Let’s Talk Mediate!


Good Morning, happy Morning, productive morning ladies!!!! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, the warm breeze let’s me know I am alive and live in the most beautiful place on earth. I was finally able to meditate outside this morning for the first time in quite a while without freezing my buns off. do you know how many beautiful benefits you can get from meditating even for 5 mins every day? Mentally, physically, emotionally….mediation is wonderful for all 3 of these well beings.

I am truly a very busy woman….working 60+ hours a week, putting in one or two nights a week on the side gig that I wouldn’t dream of giving up, running for two children with sports, friends, etc….following the hubbies hobbies, volunteering for numerous other things….I LOVE helping others, I love seeing happiness in others, and I love to be needed and wanted; so the fast lane works for me. The only way I can make this fast lifestyle a reality and stay sane is organization and meditation. I don’t need hours a day, but I do need minutes. Some days i can get by with 5 mins and others days it looks like an hour in the sunshine. Whatever the day allows for is what will work for me. The crazy and hectic days are where I pause multiple times a day and remember that my mental health is number UNO!

My Mental Health and Mediation benefits:

No. 1 Holy Stress Levels

It is ok to walk away and take a few mins to sit, breath, clear your mind when the stress is overwhelming. Stress is terrible on a body, it can cause so much harm to a person mentally, emotionally, and physically. If your stress is rising, walk way, sit for 5 mins and take 6 deep slow deliberate breaths. A bit of relief should arise and you can start over again.

No. 2 Look Out Anxiety

Ever fell the chest tightness, short of breath, overwhelm and thing there might be something wrong with you? Yup, me too! Anxiety can be crippling but mediation can help. If you take me time and mediate for a short while every day you can reduce your anxiety, gears, compulsive behavior and can learn to react calmly and rationally to things you never used to be able to handle so well.

No. 3 Move Over Depression

Depression can sneak its nasty face in quietly before you even realize it is happening. If you take the time to shut down that brain for a few mins a day and clear your head, you can meditate away depression before it has a hold on you.

No. 4 Oh Happy Me

Mediation can improve that mood of yours. Meditation helps you control those racing thoughts which can help with stress and anxiety and allow you more time to enjoy life which in turn makes you happier!!!!! Who doesn’t want happier, right?!

No. 5 Aware of Me

Did you know mediation can increase your self awareness? A little bit of time set aside for meditating every day can give you a better sense of your emotions, feelings, and thoughts. In turn you have better self control and confidence with who you are.

No. 6 My oh My Memory

Better breathing equals increased blood flow to those memory parts of your brain that help with attention and executing functions. No one wants Alzheimer’s in their life so let’s get to making our brains work and/or slow down to keep it healthy.

Living in the moment, living for the day, no rear view mirror….helps slow your mind so that your worries aren’t front and center. if you are worrying less, then your patience level increases.

Oh healthy body! Lowering heart rate and blood pressure has so many health benefits to that beautiful body of yours. We have been blessed with one body, let’s treat it well.

No. 6 Sleeping Beauty

Meditation can help you sleep like a baby because of all the other benefits we have learned about today. Sleeping soundly with a uncluttered mind will allow for a restful sleep and will have you not needing a nap the next day.

No. 7 Illness Prevention

As a cancer survivor this is the only thing I need to see in order to spend 5 mins of my entire day in an uncluttered relaxing state of mind. Meditation has been proven to help manage symptoms of conditions like anxiety, asthma, cancer, pain, depression, headaches……and so many more. Slow the mind, let the brain relax, leave the info overload at the door.

Please take the time to meditate for your health and well being. Meditation can be sitting in a peaceful setting. Meditation can be a walking meditation. What ever way you chose to meditate, so it for you!!!!
